Wondering what both their cameras see right now? Look it up.

Drop in a phone number or email and Facevade opens the front lens, the rear lens and every shot you saved on a single screen.

How it runs

Three lines, ready to open feeds.

$ Facevade open front back

> rear lens: live

$ Facevade history

> saved shots: loaded beneath the feeds

What it's good for

Good for

  • reading saved shots
  • opening the front and back
  • staying right in the browser
  • one contact to get going

Not for

  • working without a number or email
  • a feed you keep after closing it

The verdict: if you've got the contact, the viewer does the rest in the tab already open.

Where this comes from

"tap your tile, then hit the Flip to Back Camera button" Apple Support, on switching cameras in a FaceTime call

On a real call that flip needs both people on the line. Facevade is built around the same front to back view, opened from one contact rather than a call you both join.

Before you start

Do I install anything?

No. Facevade runs in the browser tab you open it in. There's nothing to download onto your phone or theirs.

What do I need to start?

A phone number or an email address for the device. That contact is what sends the viewer to the right feeds.

Which cameras does it open?

Both. The front lens and the rear lens come up together, with the saved shots listed beneath them.

One contact opens both lenses.
